Approaching their second game of the summer season with some concern, the Os faced PB&J’s. The Os scouting department had reported that PB&J had scored a lopsided victory over Waterway, who the Os were 0-1 against in the spring season. Not only that, further research revealed that the PB&J victory had been 80-35. Against this backdrop, the Os turned in a good start to the game, staying tied with PB&J through about 7 minutes to go in the first half. At that point PB&J went on a run to go up 27-14 at half.

After a disappointing end of the first half, the Os rallied and played a solid second half, playing PB&J nearly even the rest of the way, resulting in a 39-26 defeat.

Ophy voting was like none ever seen, 10 individuals received votes, with none receiving more than 2 votes. Ophy fans received 4 votes (Rachel with 1, Charmaine with 1, Lisa with 2 – for the prior week’s beer run). There was an advertisement for an upcoming BBQ and a member of PB&J even got a vote. Duggo took home the Ophy for remembering his solid assist. Mr. Smooth received votes for his blocked 3 pointer, and the Giant for his solid rebounding. E-Bomb came close to winning a second time in a row, and Mr. Avocado emerged with a vote and potentially a new nickname… sssssss!
