Anticipation was high for the final game of the summer season. The Os entered tied for second place with Waterway, their next opponent. Longtime Os observers believe that the game for number 2 brought out the largest crowd in O history. Always the entertainers, the Os decided to keep the game close despite Waterway’s curious decision to only play 4 players. True to dramatic form, the Os only held a 30-28 lead at the half.

The Os used some sharp shooting (13/23 on 3 pointers) and decent defense to maintain the lead on Waterway. Surviving some rallies and the solid shooting and inside play of Waterway, the Os pulled away for the win.

Winning a dramatic Ophy vote (with a possible record number of votes), was And None, taking home the Ophy with 22 points and an Os record of 6 three-pointers made. Not to mention a double-double with 11 rebounds as well. Mr. Smooth was in the Ophy mix with his 7 points and 100% shooting, as way E-Bomb with his rebounding and foul-out. Also receiving votes were Fo’ (Mike O.), Charmaine, Linda (for the new Os shirt), Os Fans/Crew (for the record turnout), Wow/Mom, Heather (a half vote for her cookie baking – should have been more!), and Jayme.
